Ministry of Social Development / Work and Income COVID 19 – Alert Level 2
From Thursday 14 May, New Zealand will be at Alert Level 2 in our response to COVID-19.
We know things may not feel back to normal for some time, but you can continue to count on us for help.
Getting help from us
The safety and security of our people and our clients is still our priority.
To make things easy for you, we’ll continue to help as much as possible over the phone and online – including having appointments over the phone where we can.
You can use MyMSD to:
update your personal details;
check your payments; and
apply for help with things like one-off costs for food.

About our Service Centres
At Alert Level 2, we’ll be closely managing how many people come into our service centres.
To avoid queues and help us keep to physical distancing rules, only people we’ve asked to come in for an appointment should come into a service centre.
It’s really important that we can do contact tracing with anyone who comes in to see us. So rather than popping in to a service centre, please give us a call.
